1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how California Infotech (“California Infotech”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit www.californiainfotech.com (the “Website”), use our free SEO audit tool, contact us, or use our digital marketing services for home service businesses.

Our business address is 10975 Hemlock Ave, Fontana, CA 92337, USA, and we also have a team in Chandigarh, India. By using the Website, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and enquiry forms – your name, email address, phone number, website URL, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
  • Free SEO audit – the website address, business type and city or service area you enter. If you unlock the full audit or request a manual audit, we also collect your name, email address and phone number, together with your audit results.
  • “Talk to an Expert” chat box – the name, phone number, email address and message you submit, and the page you sent it from.
  • Direct communication – information you share when you email, call, message us on WhatsApp or book a call with us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data – such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies – used for analytics and to make the Website work properly (see Cookies & analytics).
  • Security logs – our hosting and security tools may record IP addresses and request information to protect the Website from abuse and spam.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to submit, sensitive personal information (such as financial account details, government ID numbers or health information) through the Website.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and messages, and to call or email you about your request.
  • To run your free SEO audit and prepare a personalized action plan or proposal.
  • To provide, manage and improve our SEO, PPC, reputation management and related services.
  • To send you information about our services that you have asked for. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • To understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve its content and performance.
  • To protect the Website, prevent spam and misuse, and keep our systems secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Our free SEO audit tool

When you run the instant audit, our server visits the publicly available pages of the website you enter (for example its homepage, robots.txt and sitemap) and checks factors such as page titles, headings, speed, schema markup and mobile settings. We do not access any private, password-protected or account areas.

  • Scan results are stored temporarily (for up to 6 hours) so repeat scans load faster.
  • Your IP address is used temporarily (for about 15 minutes) to limit the number of scans and prevent abuse.
  • The scan results are only connected to your name and contact details if you choose to unlock the full audit or request a manual audit.

Please only enter websites that you own or are authorized to have reviewed.

5. Cookies & analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the Website working – for example, remembering that you dismissed the chat prompt during your visit (stored in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab).
  • Measure and improve the Website – we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages. Google may collect information such as your IP address and device identifiers. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your choices for analytics and marketing cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland have analytics and marketing cookies switched off until they agree. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings (also linked in the footer of every page). Your choice is stored on your device for up to 12 months.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Website may not work as intended if you do. Our Website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
